Job summary

Bodycote, based in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Heat Treating Technician to support heat treatment operations under supervision. The role may be filled at Level C with entry-level experience and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include operating heat treating equipment, ensuring safety, and maintaining customer inventory integrity. ITAR rules apply; candidates must meet English communication standards and have a manufacturing background.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing background required.
• 2–3 years of Machine Operator experience (CNC, heavy machinery, etc).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Bring any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
• Promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Care and treatment of customer inventory, with safety and responsibility.
