Job summary

JMP Plating in Rockford, IL is seeking a Heat Treat Operator to set up and operate furnaces used to temper and harden metal parts. You will read production orders, set temperatures and cycles, load materials, monitor processes, and document cycle times and results.

Responsibilities

• Load materials into belt furnaces and start conveyors as needed.
• Inspect finished parts and prepare reports and samples.
• Maintain 5S and PM programs and support operator training.
