Estwing in Rockford, IL seeks a Second Shift Heat Treat Operator to operate furnaces and ensure production targets are met. The role involves salt and draw furnace tasks, temperature monitoring, and data entry for process tracking.

Responsibilities include loading/ unloading tools, maintaining cleanliness of equipment, and adhering to safety standards in a busy manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Requires 1–3 months related experience or on-the-job training.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally 100 pounds.
• Must wear hearing protection, safety glasses and foot protection.

Responsabilidades

• Operate Salt Furnace: loads hammers on racks/baskets and monitors salt bath, oil quench and rinse, and unloads at draw furnace conveyor.
• Face Hardening: loads face of hammer into furnace and monitors temperatures and conveyor unloading.
• Degrease or remove scale from parts and clean salt pot and draw ovens as required.
• Loads/unloads tools into carts and transports to staging area for next process.
• Complete routing sheet and input data entries in a timely manner.
