About the Opportunity:

The Heat Treatment Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of heat treatment and surface finish equipment, such as furnaces, ovens, and quenching systems, to achieve desired material properties. This includes optimizing troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining quality control and the design, selection, and installation of new equipment.

What You’ll Do:

• Monitoring and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heat treatment equipment like furnaces, ovens, and quenching systems.
• Working with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee regular calibration, preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability.
• Ensuring that heat treatment processes adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Addressing problems that arise during heat treatment processes, including material defects and equipment malfunctions.
• Offering expertise to production teams and other engineers on heat treatment processes and materials.
• Keeping detailed records of heat treatment processes, parameters, and outcomes for analysis and future reference.
• Partner with Aoyama Seisakusho group of companies (ASJ) to provide products and manufacturing processes to support the North America fastener markets.
• Conduct periodic surveys and inspections of manufacturing equipment to comply with code requirements, identify safety hazards, prevent accidents, and conserve company property.
• Develop and deliver technical training to technical and non-technical Team Members. Support problem investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Identify, justify, manage and implement capital projects.
• Support manufacturing process design, equipment selection, capability validation and process maintenance activities.
• Ability to draw/design on CAD
• Other duties may be assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of heat treatment principles, metallurgy, and material properties
• Practical experience in heat treatment processes, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
