As a Heat Treat Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up and observing machine operations, inspecting work pieces, and maintaining a clean work area. Prioritizing quality and safety, this role is essential for supporting the commercial roofing industry.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the number one priority of all OMG employees.
• Set up machine, observe operation, and inspect first run and sample work piece to ensure machining conforms to specifications.
• Read blueprint or job order for product and job specifications such as wire type, dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be run.
• Select, enter, and adjust specified heat treat recipes to conform to production run sheet and feed rates.
• Perform routine lubrication and preventative maintenance inspections as required.
• Observe all safety rules.
• Perform routine and preventative machine maintenance.
• Assist other machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
• Maintain a neat and well-organized work area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Heat Treat Machine Operators produce world class fasteners for OMG using safe machine operating techniques and effective lean manufacturing principles.
