Syndeo is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Heat Treater to join a local aircraft component manufacturing company in Wichita, KS. The role involves operating heat-treating equipment and processing metal parts per specifications and quality requirements.

This direct-hire opportunity offers a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits. Schedule is 2nd shift (Mon-Fri) 3:30pm–12:00am, with training on 1st shift (7:00am–3:30pm) to start.

Qualifications

• Prior heat-treating, furnace operation, metalworking or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Understanding of heat-treatment processes and metal properties preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions, specifications and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to accurately complete production records.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic process or equipment issues.
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, operate, monitor, and unload heat-treating furnaces and related equipment.
• Process metal parts according to specified temperatures, cycle times, cooling methods and work instructions.
• Read and follow work orders, routers, process specifications and production documentation.
• Monitor furnace temperatures, timers, controls and operating conditions during cycles.
• Identify, handle and maintain traceability of parts throughout the process.
• Record temperatures, cycle information, lot information and other production data accurately.
• Inspect parts for defects or conditions affecting quality.
• Use measuring equipment as required by the job.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report issues promptly.
• Follow safety procedures for handling hot materials and operating industrial equipment.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production and team members to ensure adherence to requirements.

This position is responsible for operating heat-treating equipment and processing metal parts according to established specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and able to accurately follow process specifications and maintain required documentation.

This is a direct-hire opportunity and has a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits.

Schedule - this is a 2nd shift position Monday - Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am.

You will train on 1st shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Quality, Production, and other team members to ensure parts are processed according to established requirements.
• Assist with other manufacturing duties as needed.
