Job summary

Ultipro in Illinois is seeking a full-time Heat Treat operator to efficiently process parts through furnaces and support manufacturing operations.

The role requires lifting up to 25 pounds, following work instructions, maintaining quality, and keeping accurate records in a fast-paced environment with heat, dirt, grease, oils and noise.

You'll work as part of a team to meet ISO 14001 guidelines and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring safety and adherence to production schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience helpful.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts.
• Process quality parts to process specifications.
• Inspect parts visually for foreign material and/or defects.
• Preform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork.
• Adhere to work instructions and process cards as required per job.
• Maintain a zero-defect mentality and be quality conscious.
• Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.
• Support and participate in the departmental structure of self-directed work teams.
• Understand and perform to the AAG Quality Policy, taking pride in the products produced.
• Perform necessary preventative maintenance on machines as required or instructed.
• Move, load and unload materials as necessary.
• Deposit scrap items in designated area.
• Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process.
• Understand and performs ISO 14001 work instructions as identified in, “ISO 14001 Work Instruction Assignments”.
• Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to several elements continuously present including heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids and noise.
