Heat Treat & Chrome Operator - 3rd Shift

Primary Responsibility:

Operate Plating and Heat Treat equipment. Maintain equipment and inspect parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform plating operations in accordance with work instructions and work order specifications.
  • Perform stripping operations in accordance with work instructions and work order specifications.
  • Perform heat treat operations in accordance with work instructions and work order specifications.
  • Hardness test parts and document results after heat treat.
  • Check quench for proper percentage and adjust as needed.
  • Maintain and clean all equipment
  • Follow all safety instructions and practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow instruction.
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. multiple times per day.
  • Physically able to wear multiple pieces of PPE and work in a hot environment.
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Some overtime required
