The Miami HEAT marketing department is seeking a Jr. HEAT Camp Coach to teach basketball fundamentals to children at our Jr. HEAT events. Responsibilities include leading groups, ensuring safety, and fostering self-esteem and competence in a basketball setting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and healthy basketball environment for all participants.
• Teach basketball fundamentals: ball-handling, shooting, rebounding, defense, footwork, passing, etc.
• Control campers' behavior and handle disciplinary issues as per guidelines.
• Lead drills, stretches, team practices, and referee games.
• Maintain constant awareness of team members and participants.
• Attend early morning staff meetings.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of camp equipment.
• Perform daily sign-out procedures with parents.

Desired Qualifications

Must be organized, detail-oriented, and interested in working with children in a basketball camp setting. Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic Adobe Photoshop skills.
