Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Senior Associate Patient Coordinator for the Heart & Vascular team in Omaha, NE, on a part-time schedule. You will coordinate patient scheduling, manage medical records, and support referrals to heart and vascular programs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, accurate patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a healthcare customer service environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year post-secondary education in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program OR equivalent combination.
• Strong verbal and written customer relations skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and handle medical records, coordinating with patients and providers to create accurate patient charts.
• Coordinate patient referrals to designated clinical programs and services.
• Register and schedule patients in a customer-service oriented manner; complete complex scheduling.
• Provide clerical support for scheduling and coordination of services and procedures.
• Provide administrative support to clinic, surgical and procedural teams as needed.
