Job summary

North Alabama Shoals Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for its Heart Health team. The position is full-time, dayshift, Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, in Alabama.

You will perform basic diagnostic procedures, collect specimens, monitor patient conditions, document care, and support both clinical and clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow. Join a growing network dedicated to high‑quality, compassionate care close to home.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• CCMA, CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• BLS within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
