Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs within an interprofessional team.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of patient hygiene and safety in a healthcare environment.
• Understanding of effective communication with patients and families; respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Must have BLS - Basic Life Support.
• LVHN inexperienced technical partner course may be required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinical team members.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment for unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, and responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed.
• May facilitate clinical exams with distant providers using telehealth technology.
