Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver patient/family-centered care within the rural health network in South Carolina. The role uses the nursing process to address physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

The RN must graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold SC RN licensure, plus Basic Life Support certification before orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to general orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment and promotes professional growth and accountability.
• Coordinates care and contributes to shared governance and clinical excellence.
