Valley Children’s Willson Heart Center is seeking a Heart Center Program Manager RN to lead a multidisciplinary team in providing expert pediatric cardiovascular care. The role partners with cardiologists, surgeons, and nurses to ensure seamless care across inpatient, procedural, post‑discharge and outpatient settings.

You will navigate the cardiac care journey, educate families, drive quality initiatives, monitor outcomes, and coordinate care plans with diverse teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in nursing or health care related field.
  • RN license (CA-BRN) required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • National certification in area of specialty preferred.
  • Minimum three years of clinical, leadership or project management experience.
  • Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Leadership and project management abilities with knowledge of nursing/respiratory care principles.

Job Summary

The Heart Center Program Manager RN plays a vital role in the multidisciplinary team providing expert nursing care for patients with a broad range of complex cardiac conditions across the continuum of care. This position partners with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, advanced practice providers, nurses and ancillary teams to ensure high‑quality, patient centered cardiovascular care. The Program Manager serves as the primary liaison for patients, families, and healthcare providers, facilitating communication and ensuring seamless coordination of care in inpatient, procedural, post‑discharge and outpatient settings.

Qualifications
  • Education Bachelors Degree (required) preferably in Nursing or Health Care Related Field or Equivalent (required)
  • Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association (required)
  • National Certification - Other National certification in area of specialty. (preferred)
  • Work Experience Minimum three (3) years Clinical, leadership and/or project management experience. (required)
  • Skills and Abilities Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams to achieve high quality outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills required.
  • Must have leadership and project management abilities and extensive advanced knowledge of nursing or respiratory care principles, clinical practice, quality and healthcare systems.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job in specialty area.
