The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Court Attorney - Referee in the Surrogate's Court in Kings County. This position will be assigned to the Law Department of Surrogate Bernard Graham.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting hearings to either hear and report or hear and determine.
• Taking testimony and reporting findings of facts to judge.
• Researching and analyzing complex legal questions and issues.
• Writing confidential memoranda and drafting opinions.

Qualifications: Admission to the New York State Bar; and Three years of service in the Associate Court Attorney title; or Eight years of relevant legal experience gained after admission to the New York State Bar. Knowledge or familiarity with Trust and Estates Law is preferred but not required.
