Job description

Join our privately-owned Audiology practice in the beautiful PNW! We are looking for an ambitious, patient-oriented Hearing Instrument Specialist/Hearing Aid Specialist/Dispenser to add to our team in several locations. We welcome new graduates to apply!

At Harbor Audiology, with over 25 years of experience, we treat individuals with hearing loss and tinnitus using the best hearing technology. We understand that hearing loss affects more than just the individual, impacting communication with others.

In this role, your passion will be evident in the way you treat patients. You will work independently during appointments, advocate for excellent patient care, and coordinate with staff to ensure the best experience. Responsibilities include hearing evaluations for ages 5 and up, tympanometry, education and counseling, earmold impressions, hearing aid sales and fittings utilizing Real Ear Measurement (REM), follow-up care, and hearing aid programming adjustments.

Expectations:

  1. Provide individualized care with clear, understandable communication
  2. Use best practices in testing and patient care
  3. Create understandable treatment plans with education and counseling
  4. Advocate for suitable hearing devices, ensuring optimal fit and comfort
  5. Document interactions thoroughly, make pre- and post-visit calls, and communicate clearly with referring physicians
  6. Participate in public outreach, community events, lunch and learns, health fairs, and senior living events
  7. Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality
  8. Adhere to company policies and procedures
