Job summary

DOCS Health in New Jersey is seeking a CAOHC-certified hearing technician to support medical readiness for military service members. You will perform manual audiograms and evaluations, and review results for accuracy and clear hearing demonstration.

Weekend work is primary, with occasional weekday coverage as needed. Familiarity with DOEHRS and BENSON software is preferred, CPR/BLS a plus, and you should be proficient with standard computer programs.

Qualifications

• Current CAOHC certification required.
• Experience as Audiology Technician within last 2 years.
• Military experience preferred; DOEHRS/BENSON knowledge preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification is preferred.

Job description

Attention all hearing conservationists, we are calling on you to help us provide services to our Military Service members. CAOHC is required.

We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays on an "as needed basis".

Requirements

We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:

• U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
• Army National Guard (ARNG)
• U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
• U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
• U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
• Air National Guard (ANG)
• U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

Responsibilities

• Perform manual audiograms and evaluations.
• Review test results for quality control, contrast, detail, and adequate demonstration of hearing.

Requirements

• Current certification as a hearing technician or occupational hearing conservationist
• Experience within the last two years working as a Audiology Technician
• Experience working with military - preferred
• CAOHC is required
• Experience working with DOEHRS and BENSON software - preferred
• CPR/BLS certification is preferred
• Proficient with computer programs
