Job summary

ExcelHealth Group is seeking a highly motivated Hearing Aid Specialist to travel across Texas providing comprehensive hearing care. You will test, fit, train, and support patients, including making impressions and maintaining devices.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and clinical skills, with a focus on patient care. Travel across the state is essential to serve patients in various facilities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of fitting and dispensing hearing products and patient care.
• Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser or Audiologist required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel throughout Texas as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Select and administer tests to evaluate hearing or related disabilities.
• Administer basic hearing tests including air and bone conduction and speech audiometry.
• Train patients to use hearing aids or other augmentative devices.
• Create or modify impressions for earmolds and hearing aid shells.
• Maintain or repair hearing aids or related devices.
• Demonstrate assistive listening devices to clients.
• Diagnose and treat hearing or related disabilities.
• Perform basic screening procedures (pure tone, otoacoustic, immittance, otoscope checks).

ExcelHealth is a healthcare management company specialized in providing ancillary services to patients in long-term care facilities.

We are looking for a highly-motivated Hearing Aid Specialist to travel throughout the state of Texas to provide services to patients.

Duties (include but not limited to) :

• Select and administer tests to evaluate hearing or related disabilities.
• Administer basic hearing tests including air conduction, bone conduction, or speech audiometry tests.
• Train patients to use hearing aids or other augmentative communication devices.
• Create or modify impressions for earmolds and hearing aid shells.
• Maintain or repair hearing aids or other communication devices.
• Demonstrate assistive listening devices (ALDs) to clients.
• Diagnose and treat hearing or related disabilities.
• Perform basic screening procedures such as pure tone screening, otoacoustic screening, immittance screening, and screening of ear canal status using otoscope.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Well-organized and reliable.
• Minimum of 1-year fitting and dispensing hearing products and providing patient care.
• Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser and/or an Audiologist.
