The Camp Coordinator is responsible for supporting counselors, teachers, student teachers, junior counselors, senior counselors, volunteers, and campers in the Healthy Hero camp.
The Camp Coordinator participates in core and non-core programs and experiences for children in a small group setting. They will be responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of the participants in his/her group. The incumbent will participate in high quality outdoor educational and recreational experiences for participants that focus on the Healthy Hero Summer Camp program core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, the development of healthy lifestyle skills, and supporting the academic success of the children. To succeed as a Coordinator, a candidate should be upbeat, decisive, and responsible. Candidates must be organized, possess good communication skills, and enjoy working with children. He or she will work closely with all staff and students and serve as a mentor to volunteers and assist them in any issues related to camp duties.

Dates of temporary assignment: MCC Healthy Hero Camps operation: June 30, 2025 - August 1, 2025. (Closed July 4, 2025). The Co-Director of Academics will work each of these days. In addition to these required hours, the Co-Director will begin staff recruitment and curriculum evaluation/edits beginning February 1, 2025.
Hours: Camp Hours are 7:45am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Additional compensation may be issued if curriculum development work is assigned/completed.
