Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a HealthMarket Clerk to keep the HealthMarket department stocked and welcoming. You will assist customers, stock products, educate shoppers on wellness options, and ensure cleanliness and compliance with store policies.

The role emphasizes teamwork, active engagement with customers, and reliable execution of daily tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. Training is provided to develop product knowledge and service excellence.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and counting.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and making them feel welcome throughout the store
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along feedback to the team
• Help educate customers by offering product suggestions and answering questions
• For homeopathic and natural wellness products, assist customers by helping locate products without providing medical advice
• Monitor product freshness and appearance; replenish and rotate as needed
• Anticipate daily product needs and develop a production list to stay ahead
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed
• Follow proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and organized
• Remove trash promptly and maintain a tidy department
• Work with teammates to ensure a smooth, positive customer experience
• Maintain Hy-Vee dress code and policies
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed
• Receive direction from Store Director, Store Manager, and HealthMarket Department Manager
