Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Underwriting Undergraduate Internship to introduce students to underwriting operations, pricing analysis, and financial evaluation within a healthcare and insurance setting.

As part of the Labor & Education Underwriting Team, interns will work with experienced underwriters on new business and renewal activities, gaining insight into how underwriting decisions affect growth, retention, profitability, and overall performance.

Qualifikationen

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clientele, and internal stakeholders in planning assignments.
• Under supervision, provide entry‑level professional services related to day‑to‑day operating objectives.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
