Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Transportation Coordinator in Salt Lake City (Home Services) to support timely delivery of equipment and supplies. The PRN role requires 24+ hours per week with shifts Mon-Fri, 9:00am–5:30pm, and involves dispatcher work, training, vehicle maintenance, and administrative support.

You will coordinate routes, monitor performance, and provide back-up coverage to ensure customer needs are fulfilled while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• A DOT Medical Card.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to follow assigned schedule.
• Demonstrated ability to use computerized tracking system.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and follow department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as dispatcher to coordinate driver activities by receiving calls and assigning drivers to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate and participate in training for employees and reinforcement of procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair of vehicles to keep them safe and available.
• Support billing, accounts payable, customer service, payroll, and scheduling.
• Develop employee work schedules and audit route performance; back up drivers and coordinators as needed.
