Job summary

UofL Health seeks a MD/DO or MBA student for a Strategy Intern rotation, spanning Strategy, Data & Analytics, FP&A, Transformation, and Physician Enterprise. You will work with executives on high-impact projects to drive growth, accountability, and financial performance.

The role is designed for a physician-leader-in-training, focusing on reporting, data analysis, business cases, and strategic planning to generate measurable value across the health system.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited MD, DO, MBA, MD/MBA, DO/MBA, or other graduate healthcare leadership program.
• Preference given to candidates who have completed at least one year of medical school and are pursuing formal business or healthcare management training.
• Demonstrated interest in healthcare strategy, physician leadership, healthcare finance, operations, consulting, health administration, or data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Analysis & Business Planning: support strategic planning initiatives, market assessments, growth initiatives, and service line analyses.
• Data Analytics & Reporting: validate and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership decision-making.
• Financial Planning & Business Case Development: assist in financial models, ROI analyses, and business cases for investments and initiatives.
• Transformation & Performance Improvement: participate in projects aimed at improving quality, efficiency, and financial performance.
• Physician Enterprise Analytics: support provider performance reporting and growth opportunity assessments.
• Executive-Level Project Support: conduct research, synthesize information, and prepare recommendations for senior leadership.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work across clinical, operational, financial, and administrative teams.
• Documentation & Process Standardization: maintain clear methodologies and reporting processes.
