Job summary

Fundamental Staff Accountant position supporting client facilities with account reconciliations and analysis. The role includes preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and reviewing monthly revenue and labor tests across multiple sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting and 2–3 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in automated GL/AR/AP/PR systems and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting required.
• 2‑3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Financial statement preparation experience with automated GL, AR, AP and PR systems.
• Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review the preparation of financial statements with facility personnel for 6-8 facilities.
• Prepare journal entries and accruals.
• Complete and review monthly revenue tests for reasonableness.
• Prepare and review monthly labor tests.
• Complete account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis monthly.
• Prepare Medicare and Medicaid cost reports as assigned.
• Assist in supporting audits (Medicare, Medicaid, external and internal).
• Assist with annual facility operational projections.
