Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Cost Accountant to support day-to-day cost accounting for the Wexner Medical Center Health System. You will maintain and report financial data, assist with monthly/annual close, and develop cost allocation methods to support informed decision-making across the health system.

We seek candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 2 years in accounting or cost accounting, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting, finance, or cost accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and report financial data within the Cost Accounting System.
• Participate in monthly and annual close activities.
• Develop cost assignment methodologies, statistical allocations, and reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate with Financial Services to ensure accurate financial information and analysis for operational and strategic decisions.
