Elior North America is seeking a skilled Sous Chef for Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. The role involves supervising and participating in the preparation of a wide range of menu items, ensuring quality, cost control, and sanitation across healthcare dining services.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated institutional, hotel, or restaurant culinary skills to include large quantity production.
• 3-5 years of culinary management experience.
• Strong leadership, oral and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of controlling costs and managing annual budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop menus in accordance with consumer tastes, nutritional needs, and budgets.
• Maintain production, safety and sanitation standards.
• Direct and participate in daily preparation of standard and gourmet items.
• Evaluate the quality of raw ingredients and finished products.
• Inspect units for quality, cleanliness and sanitation of areas and staff.
• Implement culinary production for events and catered functions.
• Supervise preparation and display of items for functions.
• Maintain inventory controls for food, supplies, and equipment; interview and train staff.
• Control revenue and expenses to meet financial goals.
• Ensure the highest level of customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
