Job summary

BCI seeks a dedicated Healthcare Assistant Security Manager to act as part of the security and care delivery team for a leading healthcare provider in Sacramento. The role combines day-shift supervision with security operations, requiring participation in holidays and fixed schedules.

Core duties include planning security services, coaching officers, incident reporting, de-escalation, and rapid response to emergencies across the site. Strong leadership and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Fluent in English writing and speaking.
• Possess a valid government-issued driver’s license or state-issued I.D.
• Active state issued guard card preferred.
• Participate in a pre-employment drug and background screening process
• Complete Healthcare competency assessment and training on defusing assaultive behaviors

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage security services, prioritize administrative tasks, and drive operations at an assigned site.
• Coach, develop and lead Healthcare Security Officers and Supervisors on duty.
• Observe and immediately report any signs of crime, disorder, safety hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrolling on foot or vehicle for unsafe conditions, security violations, and incidents.
• De-escalate individuals verbally and physically as needed.
• Direct disturbances to exit the property calmly and respectfully.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, or other emergencies with calm urgency.
• Prepare logs and investigative reports with clear, interpretable information.
• Reading and interpreting police reports, local and state law and procedure manuals.
• Maintain Lost and Found log in accordance with departmental policy.
