Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Lincoln, Nebraska, seeks a Security Officer to protect staff, patients and visitors. You will monitor surveillance, immediately respond to incidents, and dispatch security personnel by radio while upholding our core values and a safe hospital environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR within 90 days, and NE driver’s license. Prior healthcare security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent plus six months healthcare security experience or one year security officer experience.
• CPR (Basic Life Support) within 90 days.
• Driver's License: NE on hire.

Responsibilities

• Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner.
• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor alarms; dispatch officers to locations where needed.
• Report HIPAA breaches; conduct investigations and write incident reports.
• Ensure all activities are logged and reports are clear and timely.
