Qualifications

• High School or equivalent and 1 year of security or related experience.
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
• Specified positions may require a permit to carry firearms in Mobile County, Alabama.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies in an ethical manner.
• Communicates with physicians, patients and families using appropriate customer relation skills.
• Responds to overhead pages; maintains accurate records as required.
• Investigates and prepares legible written reports of incidents and accidents.
• Reports must be concise and within university, hospital and security department standards.
• Inspects doors and lights as required.
• Responds quickly to fires and other emergencies.
• Performs patrols with minimal supervision and assists local police as required.
• Completes mandatory unit, educational and hospital requirements.
