Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ is looking for a Security Officer to safeguard buildings, grounds and people, patrolling and monitoring to prevent theft, fires, vandalism, and unauthorized entry while enforcing policy. You will assist visitors, patients, vendors and staff with information and directions, and respond to emergencies, including hazardous spills, with professional composure.

This full-time, on-site role requires at least 2 years in security, a HS diploma or equivalent, and CPR/SORA

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification preferred.
• SORA certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform posts duties, including rounds, stationary posts, and observer duties.
• Monitor doors, surveillance cameras, and alarms for Virtua.
• Use health system tech for visitor control, data input, and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and law enforcement.
• Escort visitors, vendors, patients, and staff as needed.
• Prepare written incident reports and monitor facility maintenance alerts.
• Verify ID badges for staff and proper IDs for the public.
• Address minor maintenance issues or escalate to Plant Engineering.
• Respond to CODE GREY and CODE RED alerts and hazardous spills.
