Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard patients, visitors and staff across our facilities. You will respond to emergencies, monitor access control, provide escorts and support crisis intervention per policy.

You’ll participate in drills, document incidents, and work with law enforcement as needed. Must be 18+, HS diploma, valid driver’s license, and capable of standing, walking, and restrained physical activities in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prev. security, law enforcement or military experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 and have valid driver’s license.
• IAHSS CHSO certification valued.
• Must be able to read, write and speak intelligible English; strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security emergencies and alarms per procedures.
• Coordinate and conduct emergency drills.
• Intervene in potentially violent encounters using approved techniques.
• Investigate incidents and prepare written reports.
• Provide security escorts and control access to facilities.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
