Job summary

Texas Health Denton is seeking a Security Officer to patrol hospital buildings and clinics, secure after-hours access, and escort staff and visitors as needed. You will maintain security by following policies, responding to incidents, and coordinating with local emergency services.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred associate degree in related fields and 2 years of healthcare security experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or related field preferred.
• 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military police preferred.
• 2 years of healthcare or education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and clinics to secure after-hours access.
• Locks and opens doors according to schedules and provides escorts.
• Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
• Maintain compliance with Texas Health Police policies and procedures.
• Pursue and detain individuals involved in criminal activity.
• Complete incident reports and interact with police and staff.
• Provide security for mobile health teams at events.
• Conduct safety and security training for staff.
