Job summary

Dignity Health is seeking a Security Officer to maintain safety and security at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center. You will patrol areas, deter and investigate suspicious activity, monitor cameras, and coordinate with staff via radio to protect patients and staff.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, CA Security Guard license, CPR within 90 days, and healthcare security experience. This is a full-time on-site role supporting hospital operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Six (6) months of experience as a security officer in a healthcare setting, law enforcement, or military service OR one (1) year of experience as a security officer.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) training within 90 days.
• Security Guard license: CA

Responsibilities

• Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner.
• Monitor electronic surveillance equipment and hospital emergency systems.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel via radio and actively patrol to protect people and property.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions and document incidents with clear, concise reports.
• Use appropriate emergency and radio codes to coordinate security responses.
• Uphold the hospital's mission, values, and commitment to community safety.
