CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe hospital environment for staff, patients and visitors. You will patrol premises, control access, respond to emergencies and report incidents according to HIPAA and hospital policies.

The role requires 6 months hospital security or related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication, de-escalation skills and basic IT aptitude are essential; CPR/BLS

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of security experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; or three years of security officer experience.
• Current driver's license with satisfactory DMV report or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to resolve situations with good judgment.
• Must be able to speak English clearly, both written and oral; de-escalation skills.

Responsabilités

• Respond swiftly to assistance calls for incidents to ensure safety.
• Maintain professionalism and integrate into clinical teams; assist patient movement.
• Intervene in security incidents using de-escalation techniques and lawful force when needed.
• Conduct facility and grounds patrols; monitor alarms and report hazards.
• Possess knowledge of emergency procedures; report HIPAA breaches and document incidents.
• Use security IT tools, including radios, badge access, and cameras.
