Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Patient Safety Attendant to provide supportive care to an assigned patient and help maintain a safe environment for those at potential safety risk.

A high school diploma and registry eligibility are required; Basic Life Support certification will be obtained during orientation. You will observe patients, perform routine duties under protocol, seek help when needed, report to the RN in charge, and offer diversional activities to match patient

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be listed on a Nurse Assistant Registry (or obtain placement immediately after orientation), possess good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to organize assignments and work under pressure, and obtain Basic Life Support Certification within the orientation period.

• Seeks assistance from patient care staff as patient’s condition warrants

• Must be listed on a Nurse Assistant Registry operated by the North Dakota Board of Nursing, State Department and consolidated Laboratories by the North Dakota Board of Nursing, If not on a registry, then must obtain placement on one immediately following orientation and training by St. Alexius Medical Center as stated in the policy “Eligibility for Employment as Nurse Assistant”

Preferred

• Hospital experience, aide experience
• Able to organize assignments and work under pressure.
• Basic Life Support Certification within the orientation period and meets re-certification as required
