Job summary

CHI Health Midlands in Papillion, NE is seeking a Security Officer to patrol assigned areas, deter and investigate suspicious activity, and monitor electronic surveillance systems and emergency codes.

Responsibilities include dispatching officers by radio, protecting staff and patients, and maintaining thorough incident reports in HIPAA-compliant manner while upholding hospital codes and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting.
• One (1) year experience as a security officer.
• Driver's License: NE, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 90 Days.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed; report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner.
• Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers while knowing hospital campus to ensure dispatches are to write location.
• Reports HIPAA breaches if witnessed; investigate security breaches, conducts investigations, and writes incident reports.
• Ensure that all activities are logged and incident reports are completed clearly and submitted timely.
