Rush University Medical Center is recruiting a Security Officer to protect people and property across Rush facilities. Under supervision you will perform fixed or roving posts, respond to calls, assist with emergencies, and document policy violations while upholding Rush values.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarms and surveillance, providing access control, coordinating with local authorities, and maintaining incident reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid PERC from IDFPR after training.
• Must hold a valid FOID from Illinois State Police.
• Must complete 28-hour firearms training within 2 years.
• Must obtain/maintain Illinois FCC within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license (IL/IN/WI) with acceptable record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Flexible scheduling and shift availability.

Responsabilités

• Provide fixed and roving security posts.
• Monitor alarms, radio calls, and video surveillance.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies.
• Document infractions and prepare incident reports.
• Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel.
• Control access and manage visitor flow.
• Perform dispatch duties as required.
