Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard patients, team members, physicians, visitors and Medical Center property. Responsibilities include patrols, incident reporting, and assisting with safety and access control across the Medical Center.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, strong written/verbal communication, and basic computer skills. The role may require shifts and compliance with safety regulations; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Patrol the Medical Center to observe and address security and safety issues.
• Respond to security calls and codes; act quickly in emergent and non-emergent situations.
• Control access to facilities and assist patients and visitors.
• Inspect packages and maintain security equipment and logs.
• Prepare and submit security reports and daily activity logs.
