Job summary

Blackstone Consulting, Inc. (BCI) seeks a dedicated Security Officer to join our healthcare security team in San Marcos, CA. The role focuses on protecting staff and property while delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The position is part-time with a flexible schedule and on-site work. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid guard card, and a legal right to work in the United States; drivers license preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid government-issued driver’s license.
• Active state-issued guard card is required.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and violations.
• Verbally and physically de-escalate individuals as needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and employees to verify entry.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergencies, or threats with calm urgency.
• Prepare logs and investigative reports with clear, interpretable information.
• Read and interpret police reports, laws, and procedures manuals.
• Maintain Lost and Found logs in accordance with policy.
• Ensure property removal complies with client standards and policy.
• Pass client pre-employment screening (Drug Test, Health Screen, Background Check).
• Wear N95 mask and follow social distancing guidelines on site.
• Complete healthcare security competency and de-escalation training.
