Job summary

Blackstone Consulting, Inc. (BCI) is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Security Officer to support a leading healthcare provider in San Diego, CA. You will protect staff and property, respond to incidents, and contribute to a safe healthcare environment.

This role is Part-Time/Flex with in-person work. You must be open to weekends and being placed on call, contributing to a fast-paced security operation within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Possess a valid government-issued driver’s license.
• Active state-issued guard card required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• Verbally and physically de-escalate individuals when needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and employees for admittance.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and promptly.
• Prepare logs and investigative reports with clear information.
• Read and interpret police reports, laws, and procedures.
