Bristol Health is hiring a Full Time Security Officer at the Bristol Health Main Campus in Bristol, CT. The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year in security or law enforcement, and CT security certification within 90 days. CPR/AED and CPI certifications are also required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year in security or law enforcement; healthcare experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid driver's license; CT security officer certification within 90 days; CPR/AED and CPI certifications required.
• Mental flexibility and good written/spoken communication; able to follow instructions in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Assess threats and respond to emergencies per policy, including de-escalation.
• Document security events in Bristol Health's Incident Reporting System.
• Monitor security cameras and conduct periodic building tours.
• Enforce Bristol Health parking policies and procedures for non-compliance.
• Assist with communications and dispatching.
• Evaluate visitor access and issue badges; manage access control.
• Locking & unlocking doors and basic security tasks.
