Job summary

South Charleston, WV-based Security America, Inc. is seeking security officers to patrol designated areas, report suspicious activity, and coordinate with the security team to ensure safe, secure facilities.

Duties include after-hours checks, responding to emergencies, controlling site access, and documenting incidents; training and certifications are provided, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or security experience.
• Must obtain CPR/Basic Life Support certification within 60 days of starting at the site.
• Must obtain Crisis Intervention training/certification within 90 days of starting at the site.
• Must be drug free and authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; report suspicious activities and document all suspicious activity.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
• After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Coordinate the daily functions of the security team to help ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Provides written documentation of activities, incidents, premises safety, accidents, theft, vandalism and other data requested by supervision.
• Responds to and provides assistance to visitors, staff, and other personnel during emergencies.
• Monitors and controls access of visitors, vendors, staff, according to policy.
