Job summary

Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Security Officer to join our healthcare security team in San Rafael, CA.

The role offers a FLEX schedule, open availability, and on-call responsibilities with compensation of $30.01 per hour. You will safeguard patients, staff, and visitors, patrol the facility, de-escalate incidents, and ensure compliance with security procedures while supporting a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid government-issued driver’s license.
• Active state-issued guard card.
• Ability to communicate via cell phone.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• De-escalate individuals verbally and physically as needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and employees to expedite admittance to the facility.
• Respond to incidents (fire, medical, bomb threats, etc.) with calm urgency.
• Prepare logs and investigative reports with accurate information.
• Read and interpret police reports, laws, and manuals.
• Maintain Lost and Found logs according to policy.
• Ensure property removal follows client standards and policy.
