Blackstone Consulting, Inc. (BCI) seeks a dedicated Healthcare Security Officer to join a leading healthcare provider's security and care delivery team. You will protect staff and patients, monitor for hazards, and respond to incidents with calm urgency.

As a member of our healthcare security division, you will develop professional and interpersonal skills, contribute to a safe environment, and support the patient care mission while adhering to policy and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid government-issued driver’s license and the legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, and unauthorized individuals.
• Verbally and physically de-escalate individuals, as needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screening members, visitors, and client employees to expedite admittance to the facility.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, or inclement weather with calm urgency.
• Prepare logs and investigative reports with clear, interpretable information.
• Read and interpret police reports, local and state law, and procedure manuals.
• Accurately enter information and maintain the Lost and Found department log.
• Ensure property removal is conducted within policy requirements and client standards.
• Pass the client’s pre-employment screening process (Drug Test, Health Screen, Criminal Background Check).
• Wear an N95 mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines on site.
• Complete healthcare competency assessment and training on defusing assaultive behavior.
