Carle Health is seeking a security professional to protect patients, visitors and staff across the hospital campus in Urbana, IL. The role emphasizes timely patrols, incident reporting and adherence to post orders to maintain a safe environment.

Qualified candidates will have a valid Illinois driver’s license, FOID, CPI and BLS certifications, and may require TASER certification. The position offers hourly compensation with benefits and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Driver's License - Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS) is required.
FOID is required within 6 months.
CPI training within 3 months is expected.
BLS certification within 30 days is required.
TASER certification is required.
All listed qualifications must be current or obtained within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

Performs productive security patrols of the hospital, garage and perimeter.
Recognizes conditions that compromise security and takes immediate action to mitigate.
Reports or corrects safety and security violations encountered during patrols.
Mitigates thefts, disturbances, and other incidents; manages visitor and staff badges.
Notifies supervisor of security/safety issues and follows post orders accurately.
Writes incident reports and preserves evidence following departmental policies.
