Job summary

Virtua Health in Camden, NJ is seeking a part-time, per diem Security Officer for the 1st Shift to safeguard facilities and people. You will patrol, monitor entrances, assist visitors and staff, and respond to emergencies with appropriate procedures.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent and 2 years of security experience preferred, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Valid NJ SORA certification preferred; compensation includes a competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties at all assigned posts, including posts, rounds, and traffic control.
• Monitor doors, surveillance cameras, and alarms; respond as needed.
• Provide directions and assist visitors, patients, vendors and staff.
• Operate weapon screening with EVOLV system and handheld wands.
• Coordinate with supervisors and law enforcement as required.
• Escort visitors and staff and ensure proper ID badges are worn.
• Respond to emergencies such as CODE Security/Code Red and chemical spills.
