Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics is seeking a Security Engineer to help operate, tune, and improve protective measures for our systems and patient data. You will work hands-on across cloud, endpoint, identity, and application security tooling as part of a small, collaborative team.

You will partner with the Senior Security Engineer and drive security initiatives, reviews, and incident response in a HIPAA-compliant, HITRUST-aligned environment in the US.

Qualifications

• BS degree or related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, AWS) desirable.
• 3+ years in information security roles, healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Security Engineer to scope and implement initiatives.
• Review configurations, policies, and automation; contribute to runbooks.
• Administer security platforms across endpoints, email, and cloud security.
• Support Azure/EntraID and AWS IAM, logging, monitoring, and encryption.
• Respond to alerts, manage incident response, and refine playbooks.
• Translate standards (NIST, HITRUST, HIPAA) into practical controls.
• Create and test incident response procedures for threats.
