Qventus, Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer to own the design and buildout of cloud and data security tooling, helping to drive security policy across teams.

This role emphasizes automation of guardrails and collaboration with engineering to embed security into the development lifecycle across a data-driven healthcare platform. Ideal candidates will have HIPAA experience, cloud security tooling knowledge, and scripting skills (Python/Go/Bash), with a focus on policy-as-code and Kubernetes

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud security tooling and policy automation.
• Familiarity with IAM, encryption, and access controls.
• Experience handling regulated data (HIPAA) in cloud platforms.
• Experience implementing policy-as-code (OPA, CI/CD).
• Container security expertise on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, buildout, and priorities of cloud and data security engineering.
• Collaborate with teams to automate security guardrails, not gates.
• Know where sensitive data lives and develop controls for validating secure access.
