UVM Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer to patrol assigned campus, respond promptly to calls for assistance, and document actions on each shift. You will act with courtesy and professionalism at all times.

Note: in violent or threatening situations, officers may take the lead after staff have attempted deescalation, including detention when necessary. A High School diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; prior security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Prior security or public safety experience preferred.
• Experience in stressful environments with a diverse population is favored.

Responsabilités

• Conduct patrol duties.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance.
• Document services provided on each shift.
• Act in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
• Lead in controlling violent or threatening situations after de-escalation attempts.
