Job summary

Allied Universal in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Security Officer–Medical Facility to safeguard clients in healthcare environments and provide exceptional customer service. This full-time Dispatch Security Professional will monitor alarms, coordinate incident responses, and maintain accurate logs.

Qualifications

• Must meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
• Monitor alarms, communications systems, and incoming calls; dispatch appropriate personnel and maintain clear, accurate incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communications with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain dispatch logs, access-related records, and shift activity reports in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
